Charlie Foster

I was inspired into pursuing veterinary medicine having been enthralled by the 1970’s televised series of James Herriot’s adventures in the Yorkshire Dales. I qualified from Glasgow University in 1987.

After sojourning Co.Down, Shropshire and Zimbabwe, I came to Cumbria in 1997 and founded Eden Veterinary Centre in 2021.

I have a long-standing interest in Natural History, Mechanics and Orthopaedics.

I live with Dusty, (a grey domestic shorthair cat with a louder purr than I have heard in any patient), Kelpie (my daughter’s hair-brained Irish setter poodle crossbreed) and three ducks (adored by my wife).
