Emily Roelich RVN Registered Veterinary Nurse

Emily previously worked in customer service and accountancy before joining Eden on reception in August 2021. After a busy year on reception, she enrolled in a Veterinary Nursing course at Myerscough College, qualifying to become an RVN in 2025.

She particularly enjoys pet and client interaction during consultations, meeting new people, hearing their pet stories, and helping to put them at ease, even in difficult circumstances. Being a student nurse has been both challenging and rewarding. Growing up in India, her early exposure to wildlife often comes to mind when exotics are discussed, with memories of elephants, monkeys, snakes, and scorpions rather than the guinea pigs and rabbits commonly seen in practice today.

Having grown up on a working farm in India, she has always been surrounded by animals, including numerous dogs and cats. One of their dogs once even alerted the family to a king cobra hiding behind a bookcase! She has a particular passion for cats, especially ginger males with character. She and her husband share their lives with a beloved ginger cat named Jaffa, whom Eden Vets once saved after a close encounter with a car.

She has lived in the U.K. for 22 years, though she still struggles with the weather and lighter nights. Outside of work and studying, she enjoys hill walking, travelling with her husband, and tackling their scratch-off world travel map. She also loves reading, playing the piano, and badminton whenever she gets the chance.
