I started my working life in a mixed practice in the south of the country, sadly due to my own circumstances, I was unable to continue with my passion at this point. I have enjoyed a varied working life but always returning to an animal based employment, whether that be in welfare, rescue or the veterinary profession. I have worked for several veterinary practices and also many animal charities, including the RSPCA.

Animals and their welfare have been a passion of mine since I can remember, bringing anything vaguely looking unwanted home to my long suffering parent! I am no different now, I am very fortunate that I have a forgiving husband, as any furry creature that arrives at my home never leaves. I am happy that I am able to give a home to animals that find themselves in need.

Currently I am very lucky to share my life with some real characters, four ponies who are all now well in their late twenties, seven sheep, several that are now in their teens, three gorgeous pigs who really think they are dogs, three beautiful dogs, three cats, my latest cat arrival had been living rough with a broken jaw for several weeks before finding his way to me, he is now loving the 'good life' and has made himself very much at home. Last but not least, two noisy cockerels, one who is forever trying to get into the house, which he manages to do on a fairly regular basis.

Animals have played a huge part in my life and I am grateful that I have shared my life with so many, who have taught me so much and continue to do so.
