Victoria Galpin

I trained at Eden Veterinary Practice, and qualified in 2014. I have been the head nurse since 2015 and work across both Eden and Border practices. I enjoy all aspects of nursing but have a keen interest in surgical nursing. My role involves mentoring and development of our nursing team and our younger vets; working closely with our senior small animal vet and clinical director as we strive to continually review and improve our clinical practices and standards. My nursing knowledge and skills are also applied in my role as the main contact for insurance claims and queries across our practices. The head nurse role is varied and challenging at times but I enjoy all that I can contribute to client care and the care of your pets.

When I’m not at work I try to switch off from work by riding my horse or walking my dogs. During lockdown I purchased my first flock of pedigree sheep, they keep me busy and I keep the team entertained with tales of Gloria my digestive biscuit loving ewe!

Vicky would never say this about herself, but she really is the glue that holds us together!
