Suzanne Ackerley

Suzanne graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2008 and is committed to providing a dedicated, personalised, and excellent all-round service to both large and small animals, and their owners. She enjoys the variety that mixed practice brings, from cruising the countryside to seeing a wide range of furry friends in a single day.

Her favourite veterinary procedures are castrations and abscesses, embracing the hands-on challenges that come with practice. She is also passionate about providing in-house out-of-hours service, taking pride in personally responding to emergency calls to ensure livestock, horses, and pets receive the best care 24 hours a day.

Away from work, she is a mum to a boy and a girl, a farmer’s wife, and enjoys swimming, running, and yoga. Her JRT, Lou, loves meeting both people and animals, and she is training three collie pups to become skilled sheepdogs.

Suzanne values the amazing team she works with — a big part of why she has been with the practice for 15 years.
