Pip McLachlan - Senior Small Animal Vet
Pip McLachlan BA VetMB MRCVS Senior Small Animal Vet

Pip graduated from Cambridge Vet School in 2003 and joined Eden in 2001, following a lifestyle move from a commuter town in Hertfordshire to a friendly village in Cumbria.

Throughout her career, she has always been passionate about continued professional growth, mentoring, and driving excellence in both clinical and client care standards. Pip finds the most rewarding part of her job to be the meaningful connections she builds with her patients, colleagues, and clients.

As a surgery certificate holder, she takes pride in offering advanced surgeries within the practice, supporting strong surgical standards and training among the small animal veterinary team, and guiding discussions with owners on when referral to a specialist may be in the best interest of the animal — always following the philosophy that “just because we can, doesn’t always mean we should.”

At home, pets play a big part in life, with a pony, two dogs, three cats, and four rats and a firm rule against adding a fifth of any other species! Having moved to Cumbria for the hills, she loves spending time outdoors- walking, running, or dipping into a lake, and when it’s time to unwind, she enjoys crafts, especially knitting and willow weaving.
