Gemma Slater

I am a farmer’s daughter from the West Cumbria with my own pedigree herd of limousin cattle and sheep. Let’s not forget my very hyper new baby collie pup Spot. 

I graduated from Harper Adams with my Veterinary Nursing Degree in 2016 and my first job was in a mixed animal practice near home. This job really drove my passion for nursing in practice and out on farms! Who doesn't love being outside in the countryside on a sunny day with the rolling hills - being memories of the James Herriot Days. This passion for nursing with large and small animals then continued when I started at Border and Eden Vets in October 2017. 

From there onwards my love of mixed animals and all areas of nursing have just continued to develop.
